Meet the Teacher!

My name is Sarah Gordon. I grew up in Columbus, GA where I graduated from Columbus High School. From there, I moved to Tuscaloosa, AL where I graduated from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education (K-6). This is my second year of teaching, and I can't imagine a better place to be than Oliver! I am currently in the process of obtaining my M.Ed at Troy University. I love watching football, traveling, being outdoors, and hanging with my dog, Lulu. My goal as an educator is to instill a lifelong passion of learning in your child by creating a nurturing learning environment where they can thrive. Teaching is truly a passion of mine, and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year!

Alabama Project

Parents,

I have sent home with your child a green sheet containing all of the requirements for the Alabama State Project for Social Studies.

I have given students 3 weeks to complete this assignment. Please encourage your child to NOT wait until the last minute to do this project. It will take both time and effort, so they will need your help at home as well. As always, contact me with any questions! I hope everyone is having a great week!
